The National Statistical Institute offers to its customers the regional printed publication 'Statistical review of Sliven district 1996 - 2001'. The publication will also be available on CD.
The publication contains topical statistical data about the demographic, economic and social development of Sliven district over the 1996 - 2001 period.
The issue is designed in sections. For the accurate interpretation of indicators and data customers should use the methodological notes in the beginning of the publication.
The information given in publication characterizes the economy on a district level - gross domestic product, investments, finances, labour market, general data about the economy and its branches - industry, agriculture, transport and communications, trade, etc.
Data about climate and the environment, territory, population, education, health services, culture and tourism can be found in separate sections.
Data about population, households and people with disabilities according to the last census on population, housing and agricultural farms as of March 1, 2001 is placed in a subsection of the section on the population.
Data about the gross value added and gross domestic product of the region is published for the first time in the publication.
The data in 'Statistical review of Sliven district 1996 - 2001' is aggregated on a district level, on a municipal level by economic sectors and economic activity groupings and by kind of ownership.
